Summary
The Asset Protection Agent partners with store teams to protect people, physical spaces, and product accuracy by preventing and investigating theft, responding to emergencies, and supporting inventory integrity. The role involves surveillance, investigations, reporting, and collaboration with store leadership and law enforcement to maintain safety and reduce shrinkage.
Responsibilities
- Resolve theft incidents using judgement and conduct apprehensions following policy and leadership guidance.
- Monitor video systems and leverage technology to identify theft trends and support investigations.
- Drive shrinkage reduction through action plans and merchandise protection standards.
- Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership and investigation teams.
- Use RFID data to aid item level investigations and view merchandise movement.
- Respond to and report store security and emergency incidents including medical emergencies.
- Lead security audits and participate in store meetings and shrinkage awareness training.
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency response training including First Aid.
- Prepare prompt reports for high-profile incidents and testify in court when summoned.
Requirements

- Maintain confidentiality and a calm demeanor when handling aggressive individuals.

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Meet state and local licensing requirements as applicable.
- Experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures preferred.
