Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, merchandise, and store assets by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and maintaining a safe retail environment. Partners with store leadership, investigation teams, and law enforcement to resolve incidents and improve inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Resolve theft incidents using judgment and conduct apprehensions following policy and leadership guidance.
- Identify theft trends using reporting, surveillance, and technology tools.
- Implement shrinkage reduction action plans and merchandise protection standards.
- Investigate internal theft and support investigations with evidence gathering and collaboration.
- Monitor video systems and leverage RFID data to support item level investigations.
- Respond to and report store security, safety, and emergency incidents including medical emergencies.
- Lead security audits, participate in store meetings, and provide shrinkage awareness training.
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency response training.
- Prepare reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and testify in court when required.

- Meet state and local licensing requirements as applicable.
- Experience in investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
