Summary
Protect store assets, customers, and employees by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and maintaining merchandise accuracy. Work closely with store leadership, law enforcement, and AP teams to resolve incidents and reduce shrinkage while ensuring safety and compliance with policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents following policy and AP guidance.
- Use surveillance and reporting tools to identify theft trends and support investigations.
- Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership and investigation teams.
- Monitor video systems and leverage RFID data to support merchandise investigations.
- Respond to, escalate, and report security and emergency incidents including medical emergencies.
- Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness efforts and training within the store.
- Prepare and submit reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency response training including First Aid.
- Testify in court when summoned for criminal or civil cases.
Requirements
- Ability to make sound decisions and be accountable in a fast paced environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm when handling aggressive behavior.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Meet state and local licensing requirements as applicable.
- Experience in investigative, asset protection or security procedures preferred.
- Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
