Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, store assets, and merchandise by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and maintaining safety and security within the store environment. Works with store leadership, law enforcement, and AP teams to reduce shrinkage and ensure accurate inventory. Requires flexibility to work varied schedules and meet state licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Resolve theft incidents and conduct apprehensions following policy and AP leadership guidance.
- Identify theft trends using surveillance, reporting, and technology tools.
- Implement shrinkage reduction action plans and merchandise protection standards.
- Investigate internal theft and gather evidence with AP leadership and investigation teams.
- Monitor video systems and leverage RFID data to support investigations.
- Respond to and report security and emergency incidents, including medical emergencies.
- Lead security audits and participate in store meetings and training on shrinkage awareness.
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and participate in first aid and emergency training.
- Prepare reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and testify in court when summoned.

- Meet state and local licensing requirements as applicable.
- Experience in investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
- Ability to build partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and law enforcement.
