Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, assets, and merchandise by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and maintaining store safety. Works with store leadership, law enforcement, and AP teams to reduce shrinkage and ensure accurate inventory. Handles security incidents, prepares reports, and may testify in legal proceedings. Requires flexibility to work varied schedules and meet licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Resolve theft incidents and conduct apprehensions in compliance with policy and procedures.
- Identify theft trends using surveillance, reporting, and technology tools.
- Implement action plans and merchandise protection standards to drive shrinkage reduction.
- Investigate internal and external theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership.
- Monitor video systems and leverage RFID data for investigations and merchandise movement analysis.
- Respond to and report security incidents and medical emergencies to maintain store safety.
- Lead security audits, participate in store meetings, and provide shrinkage awareness training.
- Serve on the Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency and First Aid training.
- Prepare prompt and complete reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
