Summary
The Asset Protection Agent helps keep customers, employees, merchandise, and store spaces safe. This role works to prevent and investigate theft, reduce shrinkage, support inventory accuracy, and respond to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve theft activity, conduct quality apprehensions, and support internal theft investigations.
- Use surveillance, reporting tools, video systems, and RFID data to investigate incidents and merchandise discrepancies.
- Promote shrinkage reduction and merchandise protection standards, and support store safety audits and training.
- Respond to and report security, safety, and emergency incidents; participate in Emergency Response Team training.
- Prepare incident and investigation reports, testify in court when summoned, and partner with store leaders, nearby retailers, and law enforcement.

- Clear verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Calm demeanor when addressing safety issues, including aggressive behavior.
- Initiative, ownership, and flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; investigative, asset protection, or security experience is preferred.
