Job Description

Summary

The Asset Protection Agent at Last Chance Phoenix plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of customers, employees, and merchandise. By partnering with the store Emergency Response Team, the agent helps prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies, while also mitigating shrinkage risks and resolving theft incidents.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve theft and conduct quality apprehensions in high shrinkage areas.
  • Identify theft trends using technology and surveillance tactics.
  • Implement action plans and merchandise protection standards to reduce shrinkage.
  • Support internal theft investigations through exception-based reporting and surveillance systems.
  • Monitor theft activity using video systems and support investigations.
  • Leverage RFID data for merchandise movement and item level investigations.
  • Maintain safety and security by responding to and reporting security and emergency incidents.
  • Lead security audits and participate in store meetings and training.
  • Serve as a member of the store Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency response training.
  • Prepare and submit reports for high-profile incidents and investigations.
  • Testify in court for criminal and/or civil cases.
  • Build partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement.
Requirements
  • Ability to make decisions and use good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Calm demeanor when dealing with safety issues and aggressive behavior.
  • Accountability, initiative, and high level of ownership.
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Meet state and local licensing requirements.
  • Experience in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures preferred.
