Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, merchandise, and physical spaces by preventing and investigating theft, responding to emergencies, and supporting store safety initiatives. Partners with store leadership, local law enforcement, and cross functional teams to reduce shrinkage and maintain a secure shopping environment. Uses surveillance, reporting, and RFID data to identify trends and support investigations while participating in the store Emergency Response Team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents following policy and AP guidance
- Monitor video systems and leverage surveillance to support investigations
- Use RFID and reporting tools to identify merchandise movement and shrinkage trends
- Investigate internal theft and gather evidence in partnership with AP leadership
- Prepare and submit thorough reports for incidents, recoveries, and investigations
- Respond to and escalate store security and emergency incidents, including medical emergencies
- Lead security audits and participate in store meetings and shrinkage awareness training
- Serve on the Emergency Response Team and participate in emergency response training
- Testify in court when summoned for criminal or civil cases

- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Meet state and local licensing requirements
- Experience in investigative, asset protection or security procedures preferred
