Summary
Responsible for supporting loss prevention, safety and security initiatives at a supply chain distribution center to protect property, assets and employees. The role involves monitoring access, conducting screenings and searches, investigating potential loss incidents and maintaining security documentation while working collaboratively with management and investigators.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel and respond to incidents related to loss prevention safety and security
- Monitor identification badges for entry and exit and control building access
- Scan associates visitors and vendors using metal detectors and perform visual searches of carry-in items
- Audit physical security infrastructure and perform daily facility walks to inspect doors windows gates fences and lighting
- Review camera footage for investigative and research purposes
- Respond to alarms complete initial incident and accident documentation and escalate when necessary
- Support investigations into shrinkage and collaborate with investigators and managers on resolutions
- Support opening and closing of the building and perform special projects as directed
- Maintain confidentiality regarding security and personnel matters
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer facing service position ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with associates at various levels
- Ability to remain calm and effectively respond to safety and security issues
- Proven accountability initiative and ownership in prior roles
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts as necessary
- Ability to maintain required documentation and follow operational processes
