Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, team members, assets, and merchandise by preventing and investigating theft, supporting emergency response, and driving shrinkage reduction strategies. The role partners with store leadership, local law enforcement, and AP teams to maintain safety and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents in compliance with policy and procedures.
- Monitor video systems and use surveillance tactics to identify theft trends and support investigations.
- Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and partnering with AP leadership and investigators.
- Leverage RFID and reporting tools to analyze merchandise movement and support item level investigations.
- Respond to, escalate, and report store security incidents and medical emergencies.
- Participate in the store Emergency Response Team and emergency response training including First Aid.
- Lead security audits, shrinkage awareness efforts, and training within the store.
- Prepare and submit reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
- Testify in court when summoned for criminal or civil cases.

- Experience in investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
