Summary
Responsible for protecting customers, employees, merchandise, and physical store assets through theft prevention, investigations, and emergency response. Partners with store teams and local authorities to maintain safety and reduce shrinkage while supporting inventory accuracy and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents following policy and leadership guidance
- Monitor video and surveillance systems to detect and investigate theft activity
- Identify theft trends using technology reporting and surveillance tactics
- Implement shrinkage reduction action plans and merchandise protection standards
- Investigate internal theft and partner with AP leadership and investigation teams
- Leverage RFID and data to support merchandise movement investigations
- Respond to and report security incidents and medical emergencies to maintain store safety
- Serve on the store Emergency Response Team and lead security audits and training
- Prepare incident reports and testify in court when required
Requirements
- Ability to make and be accountable for decisions and use good judgment in fast paced environments
- Clear verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a calm demeanor with aggressive individuals
- Flexibility to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Meet state and local licensing requirements
- Experience with investigative, asset protection or security procedures preferred
- Accountability, initiative, and high level of ownership
