Summary

The Asset Protection Agent helps keep customers, employees, and store assets safe while reducing merchandise loss. The role investigates theft, supports emergency response, and partners with store teams and local law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Identify and investigate theft using reporting tools, surveillance systems, and RFID data.
• Conduct apprehensions and support internal theft investigations in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Promote safety, merchandise protection, and shrinkage awareness throughout the store.
• Respond to security and emergency incidents, participate in Emergency Response Team training, and prepare incident reports.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement.

Requirements

• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a valid security license is required in Oregon.
• Use sound judgment and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and remain calm when responding to safety concerns or aggressive behavior.
• Be accountable, take initiative, and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Experience in investigations, asset protection, or security procedures is preferred.
