Summary
The Asset Protection Coordinator I oversees loss prevention and safety across multiple store locations, focusing on detection, apprehension, and deterrence of theft while promoting compliance with policies and operational procedures. This role supports investigations, trains associates on asset protection topics, and partners with store leadership and external authorities to protect company assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee asset protection for multiple Ralph Lauren locations in the Las Vegas market
- Promote and ensure compliance with safety and theft prevention policies
- Conduct surveillance and apprehend external theft suspects following company guidelines
- Operate and monitor store security systems including CCTV
- Assist in internal theft investigations under direction of AP management
- Monitor store access to deter unauthorized removal of assets
- Complete operational, safety, and inventory control audits
- Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and mall security and represent the company in court when required
- Assist in inventory planning, execution, and reconciliation and develop shrink action plans
Requirements
- 1 year retail experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must complete pre-hire paperwork and background check
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills including Windows and Excel
- Working knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems preferred
- Ability to preserve confidentiality and make quick sound decisions
- Ability to work day or evening hours including weekends and holidays
- Able to stand and walk sales floor 6-8 hours per shift and lift 20 lbs or more as needed
