Asset Protection Detective - Chestnut Hill

Summary

The Asset Protection Detective protects customers, colleagues, and store assets. This in-store role uses investigative skills and technology to help prevent theft and support a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers while working on the selling floor.
• Identify and observe suspected shoplifting, and apprehend individuals when appropriate.
• Support store shortage reduction efforts in partnership with departments.
• Maintain building safety and security, including opening and closing the building when needed.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems and apply relevant state and local laws.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to meet applicable licensing requirements and work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in surveillance areas, lift or move up to 30 pounds, and apprehend shoplifters.
