Summary

Protect the people and assets of the store while providing a professional and welcoming customer experience. Use investigative skills and surveillance technology to support store safety and reduce shortages.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
• Identify, observe, and apprehend individuals committing theft by shoplifting in accordance with applicable laws.
• Participate in shortage reduction efforts and partner with store departments.
• Maintain building safety and security, including opening and closing the building when appropriate.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or on a team.
• Meet licensing requirements applicable to the state or local jurisdiction.
• Available to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods, apprehend shoplifters, and frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds.
