Asset Protection Detective - Huntington

Summary

Protect the assets and people of the store while maintaining professionalism and supporting a safe, welcoming customer experience. Use investigative skills and technology to help reduce shortage and safeguard the location.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers on the selling floor.
• Identify, observe, and apprehend individuals committing shoplifting.
• Apply knowledge of state laws and statutes related to shoplifting and apprehensions.
• Participate in shortage reduction efforts in partnership with store departments.
• Maintain building safety and security, including opening and closing the building when appropriate.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
• Must satisfy licensing requirements as required by state or local jurisdiction.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in surveillance areas, apprehend shoplifters, and frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds.
