Summary
Responsible for protecting company assets, maintaining building security and safety, and conducting investigations into potential loss incidents at a supply chain distribution facility. Role involves access control, screening, surveillance review, incident response and collaboration with asset protection leadership and local law enforcement when necessary. The position supports operational processes to reduce shrink and ensures physical security systems are functioning.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact professionally with building personnel and respond urgently to loss prevention safety and security incidents
- Monitor and enforce identification badge entry and exit procedures for employees visitors vendors and contractors
- Conduct metal detector scans and visual searches of carry-in items and enforce security screening procedures
- Review camera footage and perform daily interior and exterior facility walks to identify security issues
- Respond to alarms complete initial incident and accident documentation and escalate sensitive situations as needed
- Initiate and support investigations of shrinkage and coordinate with investigators and managers for resolution
- Audit physical security infrastructure and document findings implementing corrective actions
- Support opening and closing procedures and perform special projects assigned by the Asset Protection Manager
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a customer facing service role ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at various levels
- Calm and effective response to safety and security issues with high accountability and initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on security and personnel matters
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts as necessary
