Asset Protection Investigator

Summary

The Asset Protection Investigator supports store asset protection programs and helps reduce inventory shortage and controllable losses. This role conducts internal investigations, assists with external investigations, and supports shortage control and safety efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage internal investigations, conduct interviews, and bring cases to resolution.
• Analyze case trends and exception reports, recommend loss-prevention improvements, and present findings to business partners.
• Assist with external investigations, apprehensions, CCTV use, shortage programs, and safety compliance.
• Build relationships with store teams, local law enforcement, and mall management; represent the company in court when needed.
• Complete administrative tasks and respond to store emergencies as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of direct asset protection experience.
• Experience conducting internal investigations and interviews; Wicklander-Zulawski certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of exception reporting, CCTV, alarms, EAS, and access control.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and overnights.
