Asset Protection Investigator

Summary

The Asset Protection Investigator works on-site as part of the Loss Prevention team to prevent losses from external and internal theft and fraud, supporting store safety and protecting people, merchandise, and profits. The role reports to the Assistant Loss Prevention Manager and partners with store operations to maximize sales while minimizing shrink.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general safety of customers, employees, and the store
• Assess and assist in emergency situations
• Perform monitoring and surveillance to identify theft and fraud indicators
• Conduct internal and external investigations and document incidents
• Prepare reports on theft incidents, recoveries, accidents, and audits
• Reduce inventory loss through audits and training
• Support and participate in store operations programs
• Respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Work a flexible schedule based on store needs

Requirements

• Experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection
• Customer focused mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer software proficiency
• Investigative and conflict management skills
• Ability to assess and assist in emergencies
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to document incidents and complete reports
