Summary
The Supply Chain Asset Protection Manager is responsible for building security safety and loss prevention across a large supply chain facility and supporting multi shift operations. This role leads investigations and internal case management while partnering with building leadership to reduce merchandise loss and ensure compliance with access control and safety protocols. The manager oversees AP staff training and performance and supports network priorities of safety team and results.
Responsibilities
- Assume complete responsibility for building security and safety.
- Maintain and enforce access control standards including card access systems.
- Respond to and report security emergencies and administer first aid when needed.
- Manage violence in the workplace reporting and response processes.
- Partner with building leaders to educate employees on loss reduction strategies.
- Observe vendor visitor and employee behavior for indicators of theft.
- Interview hire coach and manage Asset Protection staff performance.
- Oversee training and execution of electronic walk through and hand held metal detectors.
- Lead internal investigations program to identify and resolve internal loss incidents.
Requirements
- Proven success in investigations loss prevention asset protection and security procedures.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders.
- Strong organizational delegation and follow through skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies.
- Familiarity with APIS and XBR preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effectively resolve safety and security issues.
