Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - 59th Street

Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure store environment during the overnight shift through visible monitoring, surveillance, and proactive loss prevention. The role focuses on deterring theft, responding to incidents, and supporting store operations after hours. This position works closely with store management and local law enforcement as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous visual surveillance of the sales floor, entrances, and stock areas to deter theft and misconduct.
• Monitor CCTV and electronic article surveillance systems and document incidents accurately.
• Perform regular patrols, inspect suspicious activity, and intervene following established procedures.
• Prepare detailed incident and inventory discrepancy reports and maintain proper chain of custody for recovered merchandise.
• Coordinate with store management and law enforcement on investigations and after‑hours incidents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in security, loss prevention, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Available to work overnight shifts and flexible hours.
• Ability to pass a background check and any required licensing or certifications.
