Asset Protection Visual Security Officer

Summary

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe environment by monitoring store activity and deterring theft through visible patrols and surveillance. This role operates on the sales floor and in public areas to identify and report suspicious behavior and safety concerns. The officer supports loss prevention efforts by documenting incidents and coordinating with store management and law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visible patrols of the sales floor and monitor surveillance systems to deter theft and ensure customer and associate safety.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, engage appropriately with customers and associates, and initiate incident responses.
• Assist with apprehensions, coordinate with law enforcement when necessary, and complete accurate incident and inventory loss reports.
• Perform routine safety checks and support store leadership with loss prevention initiatives and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to write clear, concise incident reports.
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods and respond quickly to incidents.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; retail or loss prevention experience preferred.
