Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - Fashion Valley

Summary

Responsible for protecting company assets and maintaining a safe store environment through observation, deterrence, and incident response. Works on the sales floor and in public areas to identify suspicious activity and intervene when appropriate. Collaborates with store leadership and local authorities as needed and documents all security incidents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the sales floor, entrances, and public areas to detect and prevent theft and misconduct.
• Conduct discreet merchandise observations and regular patrols as a visual deterrent.
• Respond to incidents, perform investigations, and detain suspected shoplifters in accordance with policy and law.
• Prepare clear and timely incident reports and maintain evidence and documentation.
• Work closely with store management and local law enforcement to resolve security issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Available to work part-time hours including nights, weekends, and holidays and able to follow company policies and maintain confidentiality.
