Summary

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer provides a visible security presence on the sales floor to deter theft and protect customers, associates, and merchandise. The role emphasizes observation, incident reporting, and working with store leadership to maintain a safe retail environment. The officer monitors activity, responds to suspicious behavior, and supports investigations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of sales floors, stock rooms, and common areas to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems and report incidents in a timely manner.
• Observe and document suspicious activity, complete incident reports, and preserve evidence.
• Coordinate with store management and law enforcement during investigations and apprehensions.
• Assist with safety procedures, emergency response, and loss prevention initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail loss prevention, security, or related experience preferred.
• Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to write clear reports.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass background checks and any required pre-employment screenings.
