Summary

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer monitors store activity to deter and detect theft, ensure a safe shopping environment, and protect company assets. This role patrols sales floors and common areas, observes customer and associate behavior, and collaborates with store management and law enforcement as needed. The position requires attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond calmly to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of sales floors, entrances, and perimeter areas to observe and deter theft and suspicious activity.
• Monitor security cameras and visual surveillance systems for irregular behavior or loss prevention concerns.
• Engage with customers and associates to maintain a visible security presence and promote a safe environment.
• Report incidents promptly, prepare accurate incident reports, and preserve evidence for investigations.
• Work with store leadership and local law enforcement to resolve security incidents and support prosecutions when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail loss prevention, security, or a related field preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to pass background checks and follow established security protocols.
