Summary
The Assistant Boutique Manager supports the Boutique Director/Manager in day-to-day management of the sales team and ensures exceptional customer service and commercial performance in line with brand standards. The role includes opening and closing the boutique, coaching and scheduling staff, merchandising, inventory tasks, and driving client development and sales.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily sales team operations and staff scheduling
- Coach, train, and develop sales associates in selling skills and product knowledge
- Drive sales performance, monitor conversion rates, and support sales goal achievement
- Participate in merchandise displays, presentations, and pricing consistency
- Manage clientele development and capture after sale to grow customer database
- Oversee inventory activities including transfers, damages, and returns to vendor
- Open and close the boutique and ensure security procedures are followed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for operations and record keeping
- Participate in store meetings and communicate performance and training information
Requirements
- At least 5 years of retail experience, preferably in luxury
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience in a retail setting
- Strong commercial initiative, fashion sensitivity, and knowledge of the luxury industry
- Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Availability to open and close the store and remain on the selling floor as needed
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Demonstrated initiative and commercial creativity
