Job Description

Summary

As an Assistant Department Manager at Ralph Lauren in New York, you will play a crucial role in delivering a memorable shopping experience while driving revenue and profitability for your department. You will work closely with senior management to develop strategies and ensure the highest standards of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Directly manage sales and profit performance in your department.
  • Achieve shrinkage goals and implement loss prevention procedures.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management on budgets and performance monitoring.
  • Work with Buyers and Planners to identify high-potential merchandise.
  • Partner with the Visual Presentation team for merchandise display.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to maximize sales and performance.
  • Coach staff to uphold exceptional customer service standards.
  • Execute promotional strategies to support sales and profit objectives.
  • Visit competitors to stay informed on market trends.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment to build customer loyalty.
Requirements
  • College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in luxury retail.
  • Strong business acumen and enthusiasm for Polo's lifestyle philosophy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
