Job Description

Summary

As an Assistant Designer for Kid's at Nordstrom, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design team in creating innovative and stylish kid's collections. This hybrid role requires working in the Seattle office at least three days a week, collaborating with cross-divisional partners to bring fresh ideas to life.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Design team in preparing for key milestones and buy meetings.
  • Plan, facilitate, and execute assigned design projects.
  • Support the Senior Designer in designing the kid’s seasonal collection.
  • Collaborate with the design team and cross-divisional partners to ensure cohesive design execution.
  • Research trends and competitive brands to inform design decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Design.
  • Strong college portfolio and/or CV resume.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, Adobe CS, and ability to hand-sketch.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
