Assistant General Manager - Midwest Fulfillment Center

Summary

The Assistant General Manager leads operations teams at a fulfillment center and reports to the Building Director or General Manager. This role oversees day-to-day processing operations, drives efficiency and cost reductions, and supports succession planning across the fulfillment network.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Operations Managers across all shifts and processing functions.
• Support recruiting, training, and development of managers and employees.
• Coordinate communication across processing areas to align teams on goals and initiatives.
• Participate in building-level process and capital improvement projects, partnering with corporate teams as needed.
• Meet operational metrics and expense objectives, and plan programs to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of fulfillment center leadership experience.
• Experience managing large teams and developing effective working relationships through communication, influence, and collaboration.
• Strong data-driven decision-making skills and the ability to build cost-effective systems and procedures.
• Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and retaining talent.
• A graduate-level degree in a related discipline is a plus.
