Job Description

Summary

As an Assistant Manager in the Alterations and Tailoring department at South Coast Plaza, you will play a key role in supporting the manager to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for coaching employees, managing workloads, and contributing to the business plan to achieve departmental goals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Alterations and Tailor Shop Manager in coaching employees to complete alterations and tailoring according to guidelines and quality standards.
  • Partner with the manager to recruit and hire top talent for the department.
  • Educate employees on proper fit, shop procedures, and guidelines in a professional manner.
  • Organize department workload to ensure items are completed by the promised date.
  • Collaborate with the manager and other partners to ensure established processes are followed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
  • Understanding of safe and proper use of all shop equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and customers.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Flexible schedule based on department and store needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
