Assistant Manager - Asset Protection - Tysons Corner

Summary

The Assistant Manager, Asset Protection supports store security and loss prevention efforts by responding to incidents, maintaining building safety, and partnering with leadership to protect people and merchandise. This role assists the Asset Protection Manager with investigations, coaching team members, and ensuring proper reporting and surveillance review. The ideal candidate is organized, discrete, and proficient with monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complete building security and safety in partnership with Asset Protection leadership
• Respond to and report store security and emergency situations, including administering first aid and escorting hostile individuals
• Participate in the store Emergency Response team and assist employees with safety incidents
• Observe customer behavior for indicators of internal and external theft, fraud, or other suspicious activity
• Coach Asset Protection employees to meet performance standards and expectations
• Review and approve incident reports and document review of detention room videotapes

Requirements

• Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures
• Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders
• Strong organizational, delegation, and follow-through skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency, including use of monitoring and surveillance technologies
• Comprehensive understanding of APIS and XBR preferred
