Summary
The Assistant Manager partners with the Managing Director and Floor Director to run boutique operations, drive sales, develop clients through CRM and service initiatives, and coach and counsel the sales team in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily staff activities including coaching, training and achieving sales objectives
- Maintain active management presence on the sales floor and model exceptional service
- Identify sales opportunities through weekly business review and track deliveries and special orders
- Contribute to and conduct touch-base meetings and performance evaluations
- Communicate and enforce CRM standards to maximize client capture and data quality
- Ensure policy and procedure compliance across the team
- Monitor scheduling, E-time, vacation and attendance records in coordination with HR
- Organize seasonal trainings and integrate métier knowledge into sales conversations
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing and maintaining candidate database
Requirements
- 4+ years of retail management experience, luxury retail experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid and E-time
- Ability to learn POS payroll and merchandise systems and troubleshoot effectively
- Ability to interpret sales data and translate into business recommendations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance
- Flexible availability to meet business needs
- Experience with CRM and client development practices
