Job Description

Summary

As an Assistant Manager at Hermès San Diego, you will partner with the Managing Director to oversee all aspects of the business, focusing on building sales, identifying opportunities, and enhancing client development in a luxury retail environment. You will play a key role in coaching and developing the sales team to ensure exceptional service and compliance with Hermès standards.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train staff to achieve sales objectives and embody the Hermès spirit.
  • Identify sales opportunities and evaluate contributions to the boutique's success.
  • Conduct monthly meetings and annual performance evaluations with the Managing Director.
  • Ensure compliance with CRM standards and maximize client capture rate.
  • Monitor staff scheduling and maintain accurate records of time and attendance.
  • Organize seasonal trainings and ensure integration of key profession points into client conversations.
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for open positions.
  • Make critical client decisions and manage the store in the absence of the Managing Director.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid, and E-time.
  • Ability to learn merchandise, POS, and payroll systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
  • Flexible work availability as business needs dictate.
