Summary

Assistant Sales Department Manager responsible for driving sales through directive selling, coaching the team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in the kidswear and kids shoes department. Supports the department manager in achieving volume and productivity goals and ensures merchandising and inventory standards are met. Acts as a sales leader on the floor while recruiting, training, and motivating associates to meet performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and develop department sales associates
• Assist department manager in developing and executing business plans to meet volume and productivity goals
• Coach and lead salespeople to deliver outstanding customer service
• Actively sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are maintained
• Support accurate inventory management and shrinkage control
• Set and help the team achieve individual and department sales goals
