Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports the department manager in driving sales, coaching the team, maintaining merchandising standards and managing inventory to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role focuses on recruiting, training and motivating sales staff while actively selling on the floor to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train department sales team
• Coach and develop sales associates to deliver outstanding customer service
• Assist department manager in achieving volume and productivity goals
• Develop and execute department business plans
• Sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Support accurate inventory management and shrinkage goals
• Collaborate with managers and merchandisers to maintain productive relationships
