Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports the department manager in achieving sales and productivity goals through coaching, recruiting, merchandising oversight and active selling to deliver exceptional customer experiences in the lingerie and at home department.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hire train develop and motivate departmental sales team
• Assist department manager in achieving department volume and productivity goals
• Develop and execute business plans to drive sales
• Coach teach and lead by example to ensure outstanding customer service
• Actively sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Assist with inventory management and achieving shrinkage goals
• Collaborate with store leaders and divisional merchandisers

Requirements

• Proven track record of sales results and strong productivity
• Competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a commission based environment
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals
• Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with store and department leaders
• Strong organizational and follow through skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in retail management; managerial default minimum applied
