Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports the department manager in driving sales, coaching and developing the sales team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining merchandising and inventory standards. This role focuses on achieving department volume and productivity goals and participating in floor selling and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hire and train department sales team members
• Develop and execute business plans to meet sales and productivity goals
• Coach and lead salespeople to deliver outstanding customer service
• Assist with merchandising and presentation standards
• Sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Support inventory management and shrinkage control
• Collaborate with department manager and store leaders to achieve results

Requirements

• Proven track record of sales results and productivity
• Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a commission environment
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals
• Experience building productive relationships with store and divisional leaders
• Strong organizational skills and follow through
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
