Assistant Manager, Operations

Summary

The Assistant Manager, Operations supports the boutique by overseeing and executing core operational functions and ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the store. This role is the subject matter expert on standard operating procedures, systems, and tools and partners with leadership to enable an elevated client experience. The position requires coaching operationally aligned staff and contributing to budget and forecasting for the boutique.

Responsibilities

• Own all boutique operational functions including inventory control, shipping and receiving, alterations, facilities, security, staffing, compliance, and expense management
• Collaborate with Home Office Retail Operations to develop and implement initiatives to increase operational efficiency
• Lead, coach, and inspire operational staff while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
• Act as the boutique resource and expert on SOPs, systems, and tools; lead operational projects and continuous improvement efforts
• Assist in managing the boutique budget, forecasting expenditures, and ensuring operational standards and boutique image are upheld

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of related experience in retail operations or boutique management
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and some holidays; ability to lift 15 lbs
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and retail systems; foreign language skills preferred
