Summary
Lead the sales floor to deliver a memorable customer shopping experience while driving sales, margin, and positive operating profit. Partner with the General Manager to learn leadership responsibilities, develop the team, and uphold brand standards and visual presentation.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and profit performance for the store or department.
- Work with management to develop operating budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Establish individual sales goals and supervise sales staff to maximize results.
- Coach and mentor staff to ensure exceptional customer service and adherence to company policies.
- Provide feedback to buying and allocation teams on high-potential merchandise.
- Execute visual presentation initiatives and maintain in-store image and standards.
- Implement loss prevention and asset protection procedures to reduce shrink.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop store personnel and ensure timely hiring.
- Support execution of promotional strategies and programs to meet sales objectives.
Requirements
- Relevant retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Analytical, business, and financial acumen.
- Computer skills preferred: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to operate register and remain standing and walking for multiple hours.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and climb a ladder as trained under safety guidelines.
