Summary

The Assistant Manager supports unit operations by leading and coaching the team, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining productivity and cost controls. This role includes completing a Manager in Training program and acting as an empowering leader and teacher within a fast paced food and beverage environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive Manager in Training program covering unit operations
• Hire, train, manage and motivate crew members to deliver excellent customer service
• Support unit success by keeping customers satisfied and following company procedures
• Monitor productivity and control costs to meet business goals
• Maintain compliance with local and company food safety and operational standards
• Coach team members and provide ongoing feedback and development
• Assist with scheduling and daily operational tasks as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years coffee bar management experience
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Basic accounting skills and ability to manage daily financial tasks
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including varied shifts
• Career ambition in the food and beverage industry with leadership potential
• Possess a food handlers card where required by local and state regulations
