Summary
The Assistant Manager Visual Merchandising supports the Senior Manager to lead a team of visual merchandising professionals, execute presentation standards across windows and interiors, and coordinate materials for store projects and events while aligning to corporate creative direction.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop the visual merchandising team through hands-on leadership
- Create and direct visual presentations for windows, interior focals, mannequins and merchandise integration
- Plan and coordinate materials for store renovations department developments pop up installations and high profile events
- Implement sales driving merchandising strategies and direct presentation of new receipts and aged stock rotation
- Deliver visual merchandising setups on time and within budget
- Source materials and props to support creative directives
- Maintain visual merchandising presentation standards throughout the store
- Partner with Store Management to ensure daily opening and closing checklists are executed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of visual merchandising presentation experience in retail
- Post secondary education an asset
- Fine arts training and or related design school diploma preferred
- Formal or equivalent visual merchandising presentation training
- Ability to align costs to allotted budgets and manage expenses
- Knowledge of health and safety merchandise protection and privacy policies
