Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports the Women’s Shoes department by driving sales, developing team members, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role partners with the department manager to meet sales, productivity, merchandising, and inventory goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate team members.
• Help develop and execute business plans to achieve department volume and productivity goals.
• Teach, coach, and lead by example to ensure outstanding customer service.
• Partner with the department manager to maintain merchandising and presentation standards.
• Build customer relationships through active selling on the sales floor.
• Support accurate inventory management and achievement of shrinkage goals.

Requirements

• Track record of successful results, including strong productivity and personal sales.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence in a commission-based environment.
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
• Experience developing productive relationships with department and store managers, divisional retail merchandisers, and other leaders.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
