Job Description

Summary

As an Assistant Merchandiser for Women's Leather Goods, you will support the Merchandising team in executing clerical duties that align with departmental strategies and business objectives. This role involves working closely with the Merchandising Manager to ensure the success of the Women's Leather Goods category, including bags, SLG, and belts.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and review weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports to ensure planned sales and stretch goals are achieved.
  • Provide sales analysis to identify business opportunities and communicate market needs to HQ.
  • Recommend opportunities for reorders in Women's Leather Goods.
  • Support execution, communication, and follow-up for product moves, including bulk allocation, stock balancing, and international transfers.
  • Review and follow up on shipping and deliveries.
  • Support new store openings and pop-ups.
  • Manage inventory for store events.
  • Assist in the MTO and special orders approval process in Sales Force in partnership with Buyers.
  • Build buy books and training materials for store distribution and support the pre-selling process.
  • Liaise with local warehouses on merchandise deliveries and shipments.
  • Lead store communication for necessary actions, including international transfers and special orders.
  • Create seasonal competitive analysis to identify market opportunities.
  • Create ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Support market activities four times a year, including premarket analysis and store feedback.
  • Remain positive and organized while meeting tight deadlines in a high-paced environment.
  • Support business recap presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in fashion or business-related major preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience, luxury preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with a strong foundation in retail math.
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and possess organizational awareness and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and strong knowledge of the luxury market/products.
  • Maintain a clear sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment by effectively prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed (minimal travel required).
  • Comprehends the basic merchandising process and displays an interest in the office.
