Job Description

Summary

The Assistant Operations Manager supports Boutique Management and the leadership team by overseeing day-to-day non-selling functions of the boutique. Key areas of responsibility include payroll, POS operations, shipping and receiving, after sales, loss prevention, supply orders, expense control, and facilities maintenance. The role requires training and coaching associates to ensure operational compliance and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Train, coach, and manage associates on POS, returns, alterations, safety, and security procedures.
  • Monitor accuracy of receiving, transfers, damages, and returns-to-vendor to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Ensure adequate security and that facilities comply with safety codes and ordinances; lock and secure the store.
  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and coordinate with central distribution and corporate inventory control.
  • Produce and maintain operational reports and records; assist with payroll management and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage store operations including payroll, customer service, shipping/receiving, alterations, and facilities.
  • Ability to produce and maintain accurate records and operational documentation.
  • Proficiency operating POS systems, inventory control systems, cash registers, and related equipment.
  • Experience training and developing staff, building effective working relationships, and allocating workforce skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
