Assistant Store Director - Short Hills

Summary

The Assistant Store Director will report to the Store Director and support leadership of the Department Manager and sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs. The role focuses on driving brand engagement, coaching staff, and supporting visual merchandising, customer service, and day-to-day store operations. The Assistant Store Director also acts as a training ambassador and builds local networks to foster customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Ensure professional growth and training of staff through a coaching approach
• Define targeted quantitative and qualitative goals and ensure they are achieved
• Assist the Store Director in overseeing floor coverage, driving sales, visual merchandising, customer service and operational functions
• Serve as the training ambassador for all training needs
• Build and maintain a network of local and international contacts to promote customer loyalty

Requirements

• Significant experience in the sale of luxury goods or retail
• 2 to 4 years of successful experience in a managerial retail position
• Excellent time management skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of Concur expense reporting is a plus
