Summary
Assistant Store Manager responsible for supporting store operations, driving sales performance, coaching and developing retail associates, and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining brand standards. Reports to the Store Manager and helps execute recruiting, training, and operational procedures to maximize business potential.
Responsibilities
- Support overall store operations including opening and closing procedures and back office management
- Drive achievement of store sales targets and support individual sales goals
- Maximize business potential by optimizing sales by department in line with strategy
- Mentor and coach retail associates to develop competencies and improve performance
- Monitor and ensure quality of client book data and support action planning with sales staff
- Assist with recruiting and maintaining a pool of potential store candidates
- Facilitate staff trainings and new hire inductions with proper follow up
- Deliver exceptional customer service and manage customer relationships professionally
- Comply with and enforce brand standards and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of retail experience in a managerial role
- Ability to work in a team with organizational awareness and flexibility
- Strong product knowledge and alignment with brand philosophy
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- Available to work closing shifts, at least 3 Saturdays and 2 Sundays per month and during holiday season
- Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
- Ability to climb a ladder and lift packages of 5-8 lbs regularly
- Experience coaching and developing sales teams
