Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports overall store management including team leadership, merchandise oversight, and delivering a high level of client experience. This role assists the Store Manager in driving sales, developing staff, and ensuring operational excellence across store functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the store team to meet individual and store objectives.
- Support in-store training, onboarding, and succession planning.
- Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence and supervise store personnel.
- Build and maintain client books and manage in-store appointments.
- Implement CRM tools and clienteling to develop dedicated clients and retention.
- Collaborate on visual merchandising to align displays with company standards.
- Support inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and shrink rate controls.
- Ensure proper cash, credit card, and check processing and petty cash procedures.
- Deliver morning briefs and support store standards and mystery shopper improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in retail preferred.
- Minimum 3 years luxury retail experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management functions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs and perform physical store duties.
- Foreign language skills and ready to work in a team environment.
