Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports overall store operations, team development, merchandise management, and client experience. They lead and develop staff, drive sales performance, assist the Store Manager, and ensure operational standards and client service excellence are met.
Responsibilities
- Empower and develop the team to meet individual and store objectives.
- Support in-store training, onboarding, and act as Store Manager in their absence.
- Supervise personnel and implement company policies and grooming standards.
- Build and maintain client books, manage in-store appointments, and drive clienteling.
- Monitor sales performance, develop action plans, and support mystery shopper improvement.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising to align displays with standards and sales.
- Ensure merchandise is accurately handled, displayed, stored, and inventory procedures are followed.
- Oversee cash, credit card, and check processing and petty cash procedures.
- Deliver morning briefs and support top store standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in retail.
- Minimum 3 years luxury retail experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management functions.
- Strong communication skills and goal oriented drive for results.
- Organizational skills and strong digital literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs and work flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays.
- RTW experience and foreign language skills preferred.
