Summary
The Assistant Store Manager will support overall store operations, lead and develop the sales team, drive achievement of sales targets, and ensure an exceptional client experience. They will assist the Store Manager with staffing, training, merchandising, inventory control, and customer relationship management while stepping in as manager when needed.
Responsibilities
- Empower and support the team to meet individual and store objectives.
- Support in-store training and on-boarding of new hires and lead performance development.
- Assume the role of Store Manager in the Manager's absence and supervise store personnel.
- Build and maintain client books, manage in-store appointments, and drive client retention.
- Implement CRM tools and cultivate long term client relationships and clienteling activities.
- Collaborate on visual merchandising to align displays with company standards and sales goals.
- Ensure accurate merchandise handling, inventory procedures, and cycle count compliance.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and support store standards including opening and closing duties.
- Deliver morning briefs and support initiatives to boost product performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in retail.
- Minimum 3 years luxury retail experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with goal oriented drive.
- Organizational skills and strong digital literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs and work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays.
- Experience with ready to wear preferred and foreign language skills a plus.
- Aptitude to work effectively in a team environment.
