SummaryAs an Associate Buyer at Valentino, you will play a key role in overseeing the Women's shoes and Fashion Jewelry categories. You will identify product opportunities and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales, margin, and store performance, reporting to the General Merchandising Director Americas.
Responsibilities- Develop pre-market merchandise strategies aligned with financial goals and informed by competitive research and sales analysis.
- Participate in the buying process, including product selection, allocation, sizing, and order placement during seasonal markets in Milan.
- Collaborate with management and the Merchandising team in Italy to ensure local delivery of seasonal collection strategies.
- Identify selling trends, place reorders, and balance stock levels to optimize sales and maintain stock integrity.
- Partner with Store Managers and corporate team to address product needs and drive sales.
- Conduct business analysis to track sales, identify trends, and maximize opportunities.
- Create product training documents and conduct trainings with store teams.
- Create ad hoc documents for VM Planning and Product focuses.
- Collaborate with PR and Celebrity teams for product pulls.
- Support store openings and special activations.
Requirements- Minimum 3 years of experience in the luxury retail industry.
- Buying or merchandising experience in the shoe category.
- Ability to travel, including internationally.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities.
- Team player with superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills in sales data analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, and Charts.
- SAP experience is a plus.
